I am not a professional musician, but I need to sing this song at a function. I LOVE your version!!! For me, even a little more support of the vocal line would be helpful, but the key is wonderful. I do like it just a little faster, but I think you did a marvelous job with the performance. I wish I could buy this somehow because I like it so much. It is perfect for me!

Defying Gravity MIDI  (Angel on 03-May-2007)
It sounds so different to when my singing lesson teacher plays it. It needs to be faster and perhaps the singing part shouldn't be played by the piano. Make the notes more clearer but overall it's really good! This is like, my favourite song out of Wicked and I'm dying to buy tickets to see it in London!! Consider my comments please! XxX

I think it is ok.. it is way too slow and needs to be more upbeat...we sing it in show choir and its much faster...good job though! ~singer

Actually its the midi of the Idena Menzel Live Solo version which is just singin and a piano. Your lift was done quite well. Thank you.

Defying Gravity- it has potential  (Ted Flint on 17-Mar-2006)
Well, I'll say that you have a great ability to do this, but I do have suggestions. I'll admit that I'm a little confused as the role of the piano part, is it an orchestral instrument or the vocal line? It seems to b both. Which really clouds up the instrumentation. Perhaps try to separate the main tune and give it to a separate instrument.
Or maybe you were trying for a piano piece with midi backing (which is great at performances) in which case, try giving the piano part a great portion of the music.
Also, speeding up the tempo will give it an instant lift! And maybe try altering the drum line, it seems a little clumsy at the end. I know this seems like alot, but I really think that this track has great potential.
I'd love to talk with the sequencer of this midi, as what work has been done so far has many paths it can take to greatness!

too slow, wrong key.
you got the chords right, but you're also missing a lot of the orchestration....rhythms are sketchy too

It needs to be sped up some.I found if you sped it up to 1.25 it's fine. GOod job, though!
