My Hamienet MP3 files will not open.

I convert a MIDI to an MP3 via Hamienet and it will not open unless I choose an application each time. This never used to happen. MY Winamp would automatically open them. Then when I send them via E-mail people can not open them.

Also, how do you send Ham a donation and what is the smallest amount you can donate without looking like wiener?

Maybe your file association got screwy? If you haven't already, the first thing I'd do in your situation is change that. In Windows XP, right click on the file and select 'Properties' (at the very bottom) and under the general tab (which should be selected automatically) find the third header (it's near the top) which reads 'Opens with'. There will be a button on the right labeled 'Change'. Click it and select the program with which you want the file to be opened.

I believe that should change ALL MP3 (assuming you're doing this with an MP3 file) associations to the program of your choosing. If it doesn't, a longer tutorial for XP file associations exists here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859
And for Vista/7 here: http://www.winvistaclub.com/t19.html

As for donations: http://www.hamienet.com/donate.html
I'm new, myself, but I doubt that any amount, no matter how low, makes you a 'wiener'. Most of us use this site without paying a dime, and I'm sure the webmaster would be grateful for anything you care to offer.
