I have found some nice soundfonts online. I have downloaded them and tried to look for a freeware [program] to convert MIDI to MP3 with a desired soundfont. I only managed to find shareware for this. As haminet is my go-to for MIDI to MP3, I would like an option that allows us users to upload our own soundfonts to be used for conversion.

But isn't that shareware? I don't like spending money. Especially online.

But all the other programs are payware. And the option of recording it while it plays is no option because how would I know when it was done. I also don't have the patience to set through a recording without being able to hear it.

You can use the awesome XMPlay to render MIDs to WAVs, MP3s, etc. icon_cool.gif

Well, it looks nice. I got the MIDI plugin, but I've not figured out how to actually convert with it. In Xubuntu Linux, I wrote a script using Zenity and Timidity to do the conversion. I've not figured out how to make it work in Windows, though.
