|
|
| I sing in a show choir at my college, and our theme for next semester is love songs titled "love is in the air." I was wondering if anyone knew of any funny love duets from any broadway shows, I know of a few shows but none of them fit my style. (I'm a bass) I'm looking for a duet with either a guy or a girl. Any help would be great. THANKS!!!!!!!!!! |

"Wunderbar" from Kiss Me, Kate is a pretty good one. That's all I can think of at the moment, but I'll let you know if I think of any others

Oh, and "Agony", from Into The Woods, is a pretty good one too And perhaps "Sue Me", from Guys and Dolls. |

the surry with the fringe on top? from oklahoma.
there's What do the simple folk do....from camelot. but i'm not sure if thats a love song exactly.
Tea For Two is a good one.
and i like the "i could be happy with you..." from the boyfriend idea. cute
there's always "i wont dance" and you and a guy/girl could take yurns singing the chorus.
and thats all i've got. |

"Baby, It's Cold Outside"
"I've Got You Babe" (not intentionally funny, but campy).
"You'll Never Get Away From Me."
"I Wonder Why"
"Friendship." or "Together Wherever We Go." If something lighter and less romantic would work. |

If you want something with class then I suggest go with the master himself Stephen Sondheim.
Try "You Must Meet My Wife" or "Remember" from A Little Night Music.
"Come Play Wiz Me" from Anyone Can Whistle.
"Barcelona" from Company.
"You Are The Best Thing That Ever Has Happened To Me" from Bounce.
Or "Country House", cut from Follies, if you want something darker (but savagely funny). |

w00t for agony.
also, The Song That Goes Like This from Spamalot, for guy and girl, is a hillarious parody of everything Broadway love-song. Yay Spamalot! *happy dance*
By the way, I am desperatly seeking a Song That Goes Like This MIDI, e-mail me (maianess@gmail.com) if you've got one. _________________ Meep.

| Old Fashioned Wedding from Annie Get Your Gun is great, or you could try They Say It's Wonderful from the same show. Both are easy and fun. |

| "You're Nothing Without Me", from City of Angels, is a good, funny duet for two guys. |
